About Goshen Center for Cancer Care

Our Approach

It’s our approach that sets us apart from other cancer centers. Our integrated, multidisciplinary team of medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, along with our naturopathic physicians and other complementary medicine specialists, work together in one place to develop the most comprehensive treatment plan for each patient.

In this collaborative environment, our entire team of specialists holds multiple conferences each week to explore every treatment possibility available: surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, clinical trials, naturopathic care, nutrition, counseling and a host of other supportive services. But we don’t stop there. On a daily basis, ongoing consultations are common practice as well. Everyone works together to ensure treatments are implemented quickly and seamlessly. And because our physicians are employed by Goshen Hospital, there is no financial incentive to interfere with patient care.

Our integrated model of care is the foundation for everything we do. It has earned us recognition as one of the nation’s leading cancer centers from the American College of Surgeons. We also received the HOPE Award for Integrated Care from the editors of Hematology & Oncology News.

To Refer a Patient

If you would like to make a general referral, please call the physician referral line at (866) 326-6915 and speak to one of our Oncology Information Specialists (OIS). They will gladly help you through the process. Also, if you’d like a specialist to contact you prior to your patient’s appointment, just let OIS know.

Once we have obtained the patient’s information, we will contact them to schedule an appointment. We will provide immediate emergency access to patients with advanced or urgent medical conditions. All others will be scheduled as quickly as possible through our appointment scheduling system. So that you are well informed about your patient’s condition while they are in our care, we provide you with regular progress reports. In addition, you are always welcome to call our referral line should you have any questions.

You may also make a direct-to-physician referral by calling (574) 364-2962, or toll-free at (866) 326-6915. If your referral is urgent, please call the Goshen Hospital page operator at (574) 533-2141 and ask for the on-call oncologist.
